Delivery information

As a customer, you should receive your package quickly and with the most secure form of delivery. That is why Nordic Heat has chosen to use PostNord as its delivery partner.

If you place your order before 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, we will ship the order the same day.

However, timely delivery  is dependant on PostNord and their National delivery partners. If PostNord experiences delays, this will delay delivery to you accordingly.

Product maintenance

The clothing is sewn to a very high standard, but must of course be used with care, as it contains built-in wires and cables/electronics. Therefore, avoid pulling, stretching, and tearing the products when taking them on and off. In particular, avoid pulling too hard on the right sleeve of the undershirt, as the wires for the control button are connected here. Take an extra 10-15 seconds when dressing and undressing, and your product will last for many years.

We also recommend washing the clothing in a laundry bag.

Information

The Liner vest from Nordic Heat is ultra-thin and fits discreetly under your regular clothes. The heating vest can be worn under your suit for the garden party or under your jacket for outdoor life in the changing Danish weather.

The Liner vest is battery heated and has three heating zones on the chest and back to effectively warm your body. Flexible materials provide high comfort and the insulation is made from sustainable materials.

The ultra-thin liner vest for men allows you to wear battery heated clothing under your regular clothes. The men’s model has a deep neckline and no collar, so it fits under most indoor clothing.

For example, you may want to wear a nice jacket outdoors when the Danish climate suddenly turns cold. The heating vest is perfect for this and fits invisibly underneath where there is normally no room for other clothes.

You can choose the battery capacity – whether you want up to 6 or 12 hours of warmth on a single charge.

  • 2600mAh battery provides on one charge – Setting: High/Red 2 hours – Medium/Yellow 4 hours – Low/Green 6 hours
  • 5000mAh XL battery provides on one charge – Setting: High/Red 4 hours – Medium/Yellow 8 hours – Low/Green 12 hours

Freedom to move

The Liner vest has an excellent fit due to the side panels made of elastic material for comfort and freedom of movement. It is made with Xtreme Comfort Technology, thin microfibers that provide breathability and flexibility. Should you feel a little cold, simply turn on the built-in heating. The heating vest is therefore also perfect for being active in nature in changeable weather without the need for thick jackets.

Perfect for outdoors

In Denmark, the weather changes quickly from cold to warm and back again. This heating vest is made especially for our latitudes and for use both indoors and outdoors. The surface is smooth with a durable rip-stop nylon outer fabric. The same good quality that characterizes Nordic Heat’s other products.

Like the slightly thicker quilted vests, the liner vest is equipped with three large heating zones on the chest and back, which effectively transfer heat into the body.

The thin vest can also be used for outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing where you stand or sit still for long periods. The vest is also warm on the golf course on a cold day. The battery vest is easy to operate. A simple push of a button spreads the warmth throughout the body.

Insulation made of environmentally friendly material

The insulation is made of Fellex lining. These are natural cellulose fibers that are environmentally friendly, biodegradable. As they are harvested from fast-growing trees, they use far less water to grow than other natural fibers. Natural antimicrobial properties mean they are not attacked by pests and pesticides can be avoided.

The fibers are ideal for insulation due to their uniform hollow structure with room for air flow and thus thermal insulation.

Small battery with big power

The heating vest is heated by a lithium-ion battery that can heat for over five hours on a single charge.

You’ll be able to charge the battery more than 500 times and it weighs no more than a matchbox (116 grams). If you’re going on longer trips without the ability to charge, you can buy extra batteries for your vest.

No more layers upon layers

Nordic Heat has created a range of outdoor clothing, of which the heating vest is a part. The entire range has been developed specifically for the changeable Danish climate.

The design is well thought out with heating zones of woven carbon fiber threads on both sides of the chest and back. Here they send infrared heat (FIR) into the deeper muscle layers so you don’t have to be wrapped in multiple layers of clothing when you’re outdoors. The heat zones are located where they best transfer heat to the body, allowing the blood to warm the arms and legs.

Outdoor enthusiasts’ input in the development

Nordic Heat is constantly developing the battery heated clothing to make it better. For thousands of anglers, divers, cyclists, riders, gardeners, hunters, craftsmen and more, heated clothing has become a regular part of their wardrobe. User feedback plays an important role in refining details and developing new features.

30 degree wash

The heating vest can be washed at 30 degrees C. So can the heating gloves and underwear from Nordic Heat. The battery must of course be removed before washing. But should you and your clothes get soaked, the battery will withstand it without a problem.

Safety is important

It’s a top priority that the clothes are safe to wear. That’s why we constantly test our products to ensure they comply with current legislation and requirements.

All products are CE and RoHS approved and are produced at the best factory. There is a high level of quality control, it has an ISO9001 certificate and there are proper working conditions.

  • Hunting and fishing – The battery vest is perfect for standing or sitting still.
  • Sailing – It’s important to stay warm at sea. The heating vest keeps you warm for over five hours.
  • Cycling – From high activity to a break or puncture. The heating vest keeps you warm.
  • Motorcycling – Battery heat in long underwear makes riding in cold weather comfortable.

FAQ // Ofte spurgte spørgsmål

Her finder du spørgsmål og svar af generel karakter omkring Nordic Heats produkter.

How does Nordic Heat clothing work?

The products are heated using power from the rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The heat is generated by the sewn-in carbon fiber threads located in the heating zones and can be easily adjusted using the button to three different levels: high, medium, and low.

Do the new XL batteries fit all Nordic Heat clothing?

Yes, the new XL batteries included with the new Base Layer V7 are compatible with all our clothing when used with a dongle/conversion cable.

A dongle can be purchased separately or together with the XL battery.

Clothing batteries - 2600 and/or 5000 mAh?

The new XL battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh is charged via USB-C.

Although the battery is 7.4V, it can be charged with a 5V power bank, as there is a built-in step-up converter in the battery that converts 5V to 8.4V (which is required to charge a 7.4V battery).

The 2600 mAh clothing battery is charged with a 220V charger and also has a 5V output (for charging mobile phones, etc.).

Does my purchase include a charger and battery?

The new Base Layer V7 comes with an XL battery of 5,000 mAh. It is charged via a USB-C charger, which is not included. The battery can also be charged with a 5V power bank, as there is a built-in ‘step-up’ in the battery that converts 5V to 8.4V. The existing Base Layer comes with a 2,600 mAh battery and charger, unless you have opted out of this during the purchase process. Here, you can choose to add the new XL battery with dongle (conversion cable) instead. For the soles, you can choose to use regular 5V power banks or our combined hand warmer/ power bank with 5,000 mAh or 10,000 mAh, respectively, which also has an (important) on/off function so you don't have to plug it in/out every time you want to turn the heat in the soles on/off. 5000mAh provides approx. 5 hours of constant heat on a single charge – 10000mAh = 10 hours.

How long do the batteries last?

Depending on the heat level selected (to make it easy to remember), the following approximate times apply for clothing: 2600 mAh: Red = 2 hours - Yellow = 4 hours - Green = 6 hours. 5000 mAh (new XL battery): Red = 4 hours - Yellow = 8 hours - Green = 11 hours Heavy-duty gloves, mittens, jackets, vests, etc. last a little longer than the recommended times, so add about +10%. It is also important to note that the battery's full capacity is only achieved after 8-10 full charges and discharges. If you start using your clothing and find that the battery does not quite live up to the recommended heating times, this may be due to a battery that is still ‘young’. The accompanying battery instructions should always be followed.

How can I get the most out of my Nordic Heat products?

'Warm hand in a warm glove'.
In general, make sure to turn on the heat before you get cold. This is important, as the technology is designed to keep you warm, not necessarily to heat you up. Therefore, you may find that you don't get very warm, but on the other hand, you won't freeze either – only when the heat is turned off.

Please note that the underwear, which is close to the body, becomes very warm at the highest heat setting (Red). This setting is only intended to provide a “burst” of heat here and now (we recommend a maximum of 10 minutes at a time on RED), after which you should turn it down to medium (Yellow) or low (Green). This will also make the battery last longer on a single charge.

Can you burn yourself on your clothes?

Yes, in principle it is possible (but only if used incorrectly).

The underwear fits snugly and can become very hot (54°C*) at the highest temperature setting (Red). If the body cannot absorb any more heat in the blood and nerve pathways, the heat is “rejected” by the body and the skin remains at 54C - this can cause red marks.

If you experience discomfort in the form of “tingling or prickling” or similar, it is of course important to turn down the heat immediately.

We recommend a maximum of 10 minutes at the highest setting, RED, at a time!

We do not recommend that the underwear be used by children, disabled persons, or persons with reduced sensitivity without supervision.

Can the temperature inside the clothing become too high?

No, it cannot.

The garment has a built-in overheating protection (mechanical TPC) that automatically turns off the heat if the temperature exceeds 55°C.

In addition, there is a safety circuit in the battery that also shuts off if there is a voltage surge in the garment.

When the skin has warmed up and can no longer absorb any more heat, it is important to turn down the highest temperature setting (red), as otherwise you risk getting red marks. Keeping 55°C directly on the skin for a long time can have consequences, and we therefore do not recommend that the clothing be used by children, disabled persons, or persons with reduced sensitivity without supervision.

Care of thermal clothing

When washing thermal clothing, you should refrain from using fabric softener, as it reduces the lifespan of the seams.

We recommend using a laundry bag for underwear and vests.

  • Icon illustrating the use of washing machine The thermal clothing can be machine washed at 40°C on a gentle cycle.
  • Icon illustrating the use of softener Avoid using fabric softener, as it reduces the lifespan of seams.
  • T-shirt and folded towels illustrated, symbolizing cleanliness and functionality. NordicHeat focuses on warm clothing designed for active lifestyles for optimal comfort and performance. The clothes must not be dry cleaned.
